The peculiarities of the arctic landscape, the usually optimal condition of the snow mantle, and the possibility to reach and ascend several peaks in a single day (during the months mentioned after, light lasts for 24 hours), makes ski touring at the Svalbards an extremely fascinating experience.

The highest mountains
Seven days at the Atomfjella on the most impressive mountains of the Svalbards. This is an Alpine area, and includes the highest peaks: the Newtontoppen (m. 1717) and the Perrientoppen (m.1715).

In the Nordenskjold Land
Five days in an off-limits area for the snow scooters, with a fixed base camp and ski tours around the area. The transport of food and materials is carried out by pulkas (sledges) dragged by Greenland dogs.

From Tempelfjord to Ny Alesund
Ski tours in two areas far from each other, with a transfer trip by snow scooter through an impressive landscape. This a “soft” solution since overnight the participants stay in an ice breaker blocked by the pack ice, and at the Nordpolhotellet in Ny Alesund, the most Northernly community in the world.
